Important Safety Note
No dog toy is indestructible. Always supervise your dog during chew sessions. If your dog ingests a piece, remove the toy immediately and consult your veterinarian.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Honey Bone safe for the most aggressive chewers?
Yes — it's made from FDA-compliant ultra-durable nylon engineered specifically for power chewers. The firm texture satisfies heavy chewing without splintering or breaking into sharp pieces like rawhide or antlers can.
Does chewing on nylon actually help clean teeth?
Yes. The textured surface creates a scraping action against teeth and gums that helps reduce plaque buildup and freshen breath — similar to a dental chew, but far more durable.
How do I know which size to choose?
Match the size to your dog's weight: Small for dogs up to 15 lbs, Medium up to 30 lbs, Large up to 55 lbs, XL for dogs over 55 lbs. When in doubt, size up — a larger chew is always safer than one that could fit entirely in your dog's mouth.
Can I put food in it?
Absolutely. Smear peanut butter, soft cheese, wet food, or yogurt into the ridges for an enriching licking activity that extends engagement and provides mental stimulation.
Where is the Honey Bone Nylon Dog Toy made?
The Honey Bone Nylon Dog Toy is proudly made in the USA from FDA-compliant ultra-durable nylon. It is also BPA-free and made without harmful chemicals.
Is the Honey Bone suitable for teething puppies?
Yes — the Honey Bone is described as suitable for teething puppies because it satisfies natural chewing instincts and can help redirect destructive behavior. Always supervise play and replace the toy if it becomes damaged or excessively worn.
